January 25, 2018 and February 08, 2018
Charlottetown, PEI at the Charlottetown Yoga Space - 49 Pownal Street,
If you have ever wanted to feel more integration in your professional and personal life, this workshop series is for you. We aim to help you be more authentic and natural in managing interpersonal conflict.
Lawyers live in conflict. It’s the nature of the work. And yet, studies show that most lawyers prefer to avoid conflict. It’s one thing to fight for our client’s “rights” or positions. It’s quite another to manage conflict in our professional and personal relationships.
NOTE: This course will be on 3 Thursday afternoons: January 25, February 1 and February 8, 2018.
In this experiential and interactive workshop, we will speak frankly about conflict and garner practical tools to improve listening skills, defuse defensiveness and facilitate dialogue. We will work with movement to apply basic Tai Chi principles to the communication process, and learn how to keep the conversation moving forward between opposing forces. Working from the tenet that continued flow is the basis of fruitful negotiation and the resolution of disputes, we will offer tools and techniques to help you respond, rather than react, in conflict situations.
This workshop introduces a new approach to establishing and maintaining the connections required to harmonize stress and collaborate. You will find it immediately applicable to your work, and your life.
Time: 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on three consecutive Thursdays
